Where can i get a cheap wood tack trunk?
I am starting to show my horse and i need a wood trunk but they run for $300 to $800.Does anyone know of any good websites that arent that expensive.

I went and got a regular wooden trunk, like one used for storing blankets and whatnot (sold in a furniture store, Wal-Mart, etc.) and put a latch on it so I could lock it. I finished it myself (unfinished wood is much cheaper). Some craft stores also sell unfinished wood items like this - many put out 40% off coupons every week, and you could get a great deal on one if you could find one big enough.
Why don't you try making one? It's pretty simple, just a square with a hinged lid. I'm sure you could find plans for a trunk on the internet. That way you could make it to your own specifications.
