A debate on using eastern and western system toilets?
Which system is more hygienic? using eastern system of toilets where water is used to clean..... or western system where tissue paper is used just to feel like clean...... Western toilets allow more body contact with commode seat, hence creating more possibility of transmission of infectious agents. How the western system came in to existence with what mind and logic ? There is 100% possibility that one who uses western style must left some of the fecal content on his / her own exposed part of body- under his / her lower under garments . Review this issue with a scientific vision. If you have some knowledge of parasites, infection , fungal infections then you will be more clearly visualize deep in this unhygienic and filthy practice . I do not know that in how many countries this dirty practice is going on.
they are about 50/50 actually. some diseases when exposed to air die, others dont. (like hep c *blood borne only but reconstitutes if fluid is re-introduced)
if one rinses with water after using the toilet, there is still some fecal or urine particals from a person and every person after that.
on the use of wiping with toilet paper and having to sit to eliminate, diseases live on the surface, but have the skin to protect it from most diseases.
neither is better than the other as far as diseases go.
as for personal preference, i have no idea what the percentages are, but i would assume that more would feel cleaner being able to wipe, then rinse. Here in our home, we use flushable wipes. (i call that the middle of the road, but much cleaner than that of just water and much cleaner than that of plain toilet paper.)
