What should I use on the edges of an old antique trunk I am restoring?
I've got an old wooden trunk I am restoring and I am looking for the metal piece the wraps around the edges (looks like flashing you use on roofs). Should I use metal like it was before or should I use leather? FYI I am talking about the pieces that go on all the edges to hide the nails (not the corner pieces).
Seems to me a style choice. Do a mock up of one edge to see what it will look like with leather versus metal.
