What is a symbol that represents Canada?
To specify, my ward is doing a project on the Canadian confederation. She needs to make a title page for her notes and has no idea what else to put onto it.
She thought of some good ideas herself, like:
1) Using the maple-leaf as the background.
2) Drawing a picture of our currency with the queen, (to show how we are still connected to england, despite being an independent country)
3) writing; "July 1st, 1867" across it.
Uhm, now we're stumped. I was just looking for any ideas you might have so I can guide her in the right direction! Thank you SO much!
But I'm not understanding how anything such as hockey sticks or maple syrup etc. have anything to do with the confederation!
Hockey, maple syrup, the canoe, snowshoes, the toboggan, lacrosse, tug of war and tobacco. (deep breath) the beaver, Canada Goose, Common Loon, the Crown, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. All of these things are things that Canada is known for, or has introduced words for (mostly from indigenous tribes).
