Hi, I am looking for competitions to enter an original illustrated childrens book which I have created.?
I am based in the UK, but competitions can be anywhere. I am just looking to get some exposure for my work in the hopes of finding a publishing agreement, and also just for the fun of entering a competition. I think the book suits readers aged around 5-6.
hi mate just a little bit of advice if you are going to send copys of your work to companys . take the original copy and put it in a bank about £15 a year this way if any one tries to steel your work you have proof that it is yours as the date you deposit it in a bank acts as a safeguard for you and saves any copywrite arguments am telling you this as my daughter did the same as your doing and she had to go to a solicitor to get her work back from one company and this is what the solicitor told her she should have done as any one who prints the work with out your permisssion is breaking the copywrite law as you will have proof of the date .hope this helps good luck with your work
