Do they make dresser scarves anymore? How about the covers that would set on the back of a chair and the arms?
I don't know what they're called or if they're even made anymore but I would love to find the ones that fit on a chair to prtect the neck rest and arms of the chair from soiling and wear. I know I could improvise but I'd like to find the kind they use to make because the piece I am protecting is old.
I would suggest garage sales. Young folks aren't into crochet and other handcrafts-- at least the ones I know. However-- that previous generation certainly was interested and they made a lot of those sets. My grandmother and others called them doilies, or doily.
You also might try dollar stores-- in the section that has tablecloths and so forth-- the folks that work there also might know what you are looking to get. The handwork China is selling has many items that would serve the purpose. I'd get a couple sets-- so they can be washed and ironed.
