What can i use to clean my oak kitchen table and chairs?
My chairs are sticky and i have alot of detail in the chairs, and i also have a oak coffee table with even more detail, (little designs)and i mean little, and how can I fix the spots where the finish is gone on my coffee table, people set drinks on it which i hate and some areas after a while the finish is gone.. how can I fix this without stripping the furniture and refurnishing it....Thanx
Mineral oil on a soft cloth will get rid of the build up on the kitchen set. Years ago, a furniture maker told me this trick.
Clean the table with soapy water and a sponge first. Dry and then apply the mineral oil. Wipe the excess off with another rag. Repeat until the table and chairs shine.
A cotton tee shirt works great for this job.
Use Old English or Liquid Gold as a polish.
Why not put a table runner or cloth on the table to cover the water marks.
